„I was born here in Germany as a child of refugees. I was living in a refugee camp for the first five years of my life. I never thought I would become the Vicepresident of a parliament. This is something young Black Germans will grow up with. With this picture of – everything is possible, because someone like me is in such a position of power. And I hope that more Afrogermans are getting into such positions because it is important for our representation.“
